Dr. Alexandra “AJ” Salch received her BS in Animal Science from California Polytechnic University (2013). While in college, her horse suffered an injury which inspired her interest in rehabilitation. In 2017, Dr. Salch received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Augusta University. Dr. Salch is currently in progress of obtaining her Canine Rehabilitation Certification (CCRP) from the University of Tennessee.

After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Salch had the opportunity to work at medical centers in Birmingham, AL where she was able to treat a variety of cases in settings ranging from outpatient orthopedics to inpatient rehabilitation. Dr. Salch particularly enjoys collaborating with different team members in order to provide exceptional patient care. She loves being a part of her patients’ recovery journey.

When Dr. Salch in not in the hospital, she enjoys traveling, doing therapy dog visits to hospitals with her Golden Retriever, Koda, and competing in horse shows with her Dutch Warmblood, Cambridge.
